Sony’s next generation T Series digital camera features 5.1 megapixel Carl Zeiss Vasio-Tessar optics, 3x optical zoom, 2.5” LCD screen, 32MB of internal memory, a lightweight aluminum body and increased battery life. The expected release date is September 2005.

The Sony NW-E505 is the next generation of Sony’s Net Walkman lineup. It features 512MB storage, 3-line OLED display, FM radio, weighs 37g and up to 50 hours battery life with a rapid charging feature. It comes in the color blue and silver. Other up coming models includes the NW-E407 which features a 1GB storage capacity and the NW-E405 which has 512MB in storage. These models are similar in features, shape and size as the NW-E505. IBM, Sony Corporation and Toshiba Corporation release key details of the upcoming Cell Chip. The cell chip uses parallel-processing, contains eight microprocessors that communicate that communicates with each other and can produce up to 10 times the performance of the latest PC processors. The chip also supports the ability of running multiple operating systems simultaneously. The Cell Chip is expected to be used in the upcoming Sony PlayStation 3.

Sony VAIO Type X has the ability to record 7 TV channels at once, a storage compacity of up to one terabyte and has the ability to function as a standard PC using the Microsoft Windows XP OS. Currently the Type X is only available in Japan. link
