Toshiba officially announced today they will discontinue HD-DVD products but will still provide support for existing customers.

Super Computer on a Chip

IBM, Sony Corporation and Toshiba Corporation release key details of the upcoming Cell Chip. The cell chip uses parallel-processing, contains eight microprocessors that communicate that communicates with each other and can produce up to 10 times the performance of the latest PC processors. The chip also supports the ability of running multiple operating systems simultaneously. The Cell Chip is expected to be used in the upcoming Sony PlayStation 3. link
